Unable to login to GAIA and CLI of management server

Hi Team,

We are unable to login to gaia and cli of the management server.

Do we have any option to revert the older log from management .

We have tried to install secondary mgmt server and changing the password from secondary mgmt , but still same issue .

We have tried with centOS Live USB method but it also didn't work .

Let me if other option is available.

Use the Linux LiveCD method. If that doesn't work, open a support case with TAC.

Does it mean that you do not have either Expert mode password or Admin account password for Gaia OS?

Yes , We haven't have expert mode password or admin account password for gaia OS. We are having same password for smaerconsole which is working fine.

But with the same password in CLI its saying access denied .

FYI - we are one password for CLI and smartconsole.

Currently we are only having smartcosnole access of the management.

As you still have SmartConsole access to your management you can use the one-time script or scripts repository function to send commands to the Gaia OS to read out the current configuration or even set a new password for an existing user or create a new user with a new password. Other users successfully recovered their password access this way.

Maybe your SmartConsole user doesn't have the required permissions:

In this case you need to go by the old Linux LiveCD method, that means to boot your gateway from a Linux LiveCD, such as Ubuntu, mount the Gaia partitions and recover your admin access this way.

Thanks for the update Danny.

This permission will be enable by default or we have to manually enable it.

And that permission is enable in our scenario.

It should, what was the problem?

We have successfully performed the method Linux_LiveCD . After that while entering username we are getting access denied.

Contact TAC and open a service request for assistance.

Then use your last backup or create a new migrate export of the Management DB and save your Gaia settings while being logged in with your LiveCD; then perform a fresh install of the system. Finally import your Management DB and set the Gaia OS parameters as they were before (except the user configuration).

I am not sure it is possible to export MGMT without CLI access...

@Anni try LiveCD again and make sure your hash is valid.

try this:

 - from the one-time script option:

  - - run a "migrate export"

  - - save gaia configuration to a file

- then from the livecd copy the files to another location like an sftp server or thumb drive

- after that fresh install, reconfigure using the save configuration as a baseline and then a migrate import on the new fresh installed environment

We tried all possibly steps , but non of that worked for us.

Lastly we have promoted the secondary device as a primary and removed the non-working device .
