SmartConsole slow on 400sub interface gw

Management and gateway running r81.20. We had this issue in all r80.x versions.

We have a 15600 cluster with 400 subinterfaces. When doing changes to this gateway from SmartConsole, the application use long time/becomming unresponsebol after pressing ‘ok’ either there are done changes or no changes.

Publishing and installing the policyset with approx 1400 rules working very smooth.

Anyone have a firewall with the same amount of interfaces facing the same issue?

Any tips to resolve this issue?

Is this with VSX or regular gateway?
Either way, it's likely expected behavior.

This is a regular gateway and the management is on-prem. The managment has no performance CPU, RAM or DISK issues according vmware logs.

Will it make a difference if it is VSX or Regular, you think?

The SmartConsole application seems like the issue to me when having this amount of interfaces.

The issue is in SmartConsole, you are correct.
However, the underlying issue is related to how gateway objects are handed in the management.
This will most likely be addressed in future major releases.
