SmartConsole Download with Google Chrome

Hi,

tried to download SmartConsole R80.40 from sk165473 today and got a "...can't be downloaded securely..." message. I have been using Google Chrome. Tried 2 different clients (Windows and MacOS) with same result.

Hm. In my opinion SmartConsole is not that bad, but can someone check if it is tampered somehow or if this is just related to Google Chrome?

This is a Chrome specific setting. There is not an issue with the smartconsole download.

Chrome sees this as a "mixed-content" download and is alerting you of this concern. Since the site is https and the download is http, Chrome flags this as a concern and requires the user take an additional step to verify. Other links (ISOs or .tgz) did not require an additional prompt. As an additional test, I copied the download link into a new tab and Chrome accepted the request and download SmartConsole without prompting.

Funny, I tried downloading on my Mac and didn't see this error pop up at all.

Thank you very much for clarifying.

Maybe this should be solved (by Check Point). Maybe it should be unacceptable for a security company that users get messages like this when downloading software from them, no matter who is responsible. Just a suggestion...

I opened an internal ticket to point out the issue. This will be resolved over the next couple of weeks.
