Sharing scheduled SmartView reports
Is this still impossible, as of R81.20 or R82?
I mean actually making scheduled reports visible to fellow admins, not exporting templates or anything.
I think I read this was being worked on a few years ago.
The need for a shared reporting admin user is annoying.

Personally, I had not seen it in R82 as of yet.

So you mean user X can see the reports that user Y has generated/scheduled?
As far as I know, still not possible.

Yes, exactly.
Like admin user X creates scheduled reports as requested by customer, then admin user Y is asked to make changes.

As a workaround configure the report to be send via e-mail and add all the other admins you want. Or make e-mail group for people who should get it. Saves also time logging in download it etc
If you like this post please give a thumbs up(kudo)! 🙂

Thanks Lesley, but won't work here.
We need multiple admin users to make changes to the same set of scheduled reports.
So using a dedicated shared admin user seems like the way to go, but shared and admin sont des mots qui ne vont pas très bien ensemble.
I guess I can create a restricted SmartConsole permission profile with access to reports only, but even shared and restricted don't rhyme together!

@nmelay2 if I understand correct, you want to change a report with user A which is created by user B? User A can take ownership of a report and then it‘s possible to change something in the report. After changing the report you have to share the report again. And don‘t save the report with a new name, the configured schedule can then run the same report again with the new changes.
But the result is seen in the archive of the scheduling user not the others. As @Lesley said, you have to send them via mail.

Not exactly. I worded this badly, I just needed another admin to alter the schedule I created, not the actual report.
(And in this specific case we're just running the standard reports, at least for now.)
Unfortunately, the schedule itself can't be shared.
That's why I mentioned using a shared reporting admin user for creating/managing the schedules.

@nmelay2 I understand. It’s worth but this behavior is how it is. As mentioned by others here the schedule has to be done with the same admin.

Enabling editing of scheduled events not by owner of the view is not scheduled. I understand frustration but I think we have arguments both for and against this.
Best solution I can offer is to clone the view/report and create another scheduled operation with new admin on the clone.
If you do plan do create a "shared" admin I suggest to limit it to logs and SmartEvent only.
