Searching Rule Base with predefined tokens

Hey Guys,

I was stumbling over the Smart Console Help and its topic about Searching the Rule Base (https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R80.40/SmartConsole_OLH/EN/Content/Topics-OLH/lTxhoOMr4uuA-bojw...)

We are currently playing with the custom fields you can add to each rule. The rule base search is working fine so far.
But I experienced that it's not possible to use the search operator "NOT".

In our example we use "Custom Field 1" and "Custom Field 2".
In all relevant rules "Custom Field 1" has the value X.
If "Custom Field 2" is filled all values are Y.

There are rules where only "Custom Field 1" is filled, but there are NO rules where only "Custom Field 2" is filled.

Now we want to search for all rules with "Custom Field 1" filled but without "Custom Field 2" filled.

A search like "X not:Y" does not work.

Am I missing something?

Best regards,

Morris

Yes - supported boolean operators are AND and OR - but not NOT ! Where did you find that NO)T should work ?

I did not find any documentation that "NOT" is supported. That's why I asked.

Thanks for clarification.

You did not ask but posted that it does not work, referring to Smart Console Help - but why should an unlisted command work at all ?
