R81.10 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Recommended Jumbo Take 129 Installation is not allowed.
Hi,
I have accidentally deleted the take 110 backup from my management server and now I am unable to install the latest JHF.
I have tried copy it from the gateways but I see some files do not exist on the Gateway.
Is there a work around on this to install the latest JHF, without restoring from 3 months backup?
"R81.10 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Recommended Jumbo Take 129
Installation is not allowed.
Reason:
The backup file /opt/CPda/backup/CheckPoint#CPUpdates#All#6.0#5#3#BUNDLE_R81_10_JUMBO_HF_MAIN#110/LastTake/ReportingServer_backup_HOTFIX_R81_10_JUMBO_HF_MAIN.tgz doesn't exist
No conflict.
Contact Check Point Technical Services for further assistance."
Regards,
Salom

Hi Rock,
I have managed to get the issue resolved.
Below are the steps I used to resolve it:
- Restored the SMS to an earlier date where there’s CheckPoint#CPUpdates#All#6.0#5#3#BUNDLE_R81_10_JUMBO_HF_MAIN#110 directory.
- Boot up the restored server and copy the file using WinSCP, user must have bash shell privileges.
- Shutdown the restored server, boot up the current server and copy the directory.
- Re-run the verification
Thank you again for the support and fruitful ideas!
Kind Regards,
Salom

My apologies it is set as internal, I have submitted feedback to change that - you can contact TAC in the interim or replicate the management in a lab to retrieve the files.

Hey Salom,
I had this happen in the lab before and to fix it, all you need to do is copy that file from another fw running the same jumbo or install same version in the lab and then copy it over and it will work.
Best regards,
Andy

Hi Rock,
Thanks, I will do and advise. However, this in a production environment. I will log a call with TAC maybe there's another alternative.

Build a management server in a lab environment to obtain the files.
Or seek further help from TAC as suggested.

Let me see if I can help you out and get that file. I will do some checks on it later, just need to do some PAN and Fortigate stuff first. Will keep you posted.
Best regards,
Andy

Okay, since I can multitask (just part ot IT world lol), I unzipped whole jumbo 110 locally on my laptop, found package you need and uploaded to my personal dropbox. I know its not most secure method, but if you have public link where I can send it, happy to do so. Please find the link below, there is nothing else needed to get it.
Kind regards,
Andy
In case that fails, I attached it here as well, not sure if it took though.

Hi Rock,
I have managed to get the files from my restore/backup server, copied with WinSCP to my local machine. I will bring down the restore and boot up the working server, copy via WinSCP and test.
I will revert shortly.
Thank you for the support

Install SMS R81.10 on a VM, then install Jumbo Take 110 there. Copy /opt/CPda/backup/CheckPoint#CPUpdates#All#6.0#5#3#BUNDLE_R81_10_JUMBO_HF_MAIN#110/LastTake/ReportingServer_backup_HOTFIX_R81_10_JUMBO_HF_MAIN.tgz from there and transfer it to the production system.
