Pre-R80 Migration Tools vs R80 Migration Tools

Hi,

Can anyone please explain the difference between the Pre-R80 migration tools and the standard R80 migration tools, and when each should be used?

In previous versions you would simply take the export using the tools of the version you are going to. Is the method for migration different now? If so, is the new method to export using the Pre-R80 tools and then import using the R80 tools?

Also, If there is any documentation on this that would be great (I can't appear to find any). The R80 installation and upgrade guide simply states to use the latest tools.

You are correct, if are are running an export from a pre-R80 server and wish to migrate to R80 you will need to use the Pre-R80 tools to export and import with the R80 tools.  I believe this is detailed in the R80 installation PDF within the documentation package.

I had a look through the guide before posting and couldn't find any reference to the Pre-R80 migration tools in the guides.
