Moving policies from single/multi domain and standalone to Smart-1 Cloud

Hi Experts,

Can someone suggest how I can move 10 different policies from 5 standalone management server, 2 policies from a separate Multi-Domain server and 3 policies from another single domain management server to Smart-1 Cloud.

If someone could let me know what and how to do this.

Thanks,

Hello _khard, you could try it using the Management API for export/import the specific packages in Smart1-Cloud.

https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/latest/APIs/index.html#cli/export-management~v1.8%20

I've a silly follow up question : how can we import packages if the customer doesn't have cli access to Smart-1 cloud SMS ?

can it be done by Smart Console ?

Hello,

You can use  the API for import packages in smart1-cloud, you dont need access to CLI to execute the commands. You just need to enable the remote access for the API and execute the commands from any Gaia system. In the infinity portal you have the instructions for how use the API with smart-1 cloud, you need to add some extra parameters... like context, api-key, etc...

Something like: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/API-CLI-Discussion/Python-tool-for-exporting-importing-a-policy-...

This doesn’t require CLI access to the management server, it just uses the API.
