Solved: Management cannot add new GW R81.10

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with adding my Gateway to Management. The GW is visible mgmt, I fill in the required information like IP, establishing SIC and then I click OK, but nothing happens.

I appreciate any advice.

Make sure you have the latest version of the R81.10 SmartConsole (or perhaps try from a completely different Windows system with SmartConsole installed):

Assuming you do and it looks like the button hit is actually registering (i.e. the button depresses) you may need to investigate the fwm process on your SMS via $FWDIR/log/fwm.elg. Regrettably the legacy fwm and not the newer multi-threaded cpm process still has to handle gateway/cluster creation and configuration operations, which is why those SmartConsole operations are so slow compared to creating/editing other objects.
