MDS custom snmp scripts

Does anyone have any custom SNMP scripts for monitoring MDS? Starting off I'm looking at extending snmp to get CMA hostname / IPs and then possibly extending that with $MDSVERUTIL for other things like disk space used per cma. I know this kind of overlaps what the API can do and I might go that way to get some of this just asking here first.
