Lost Smart Console Configuration
Hi,
We lost our smart console mgt platform after a VM linux issue on boot up after a power down.
We have loaded an old snapshot which has restored the platform. Is there anyway to get the mgt platform (console) up to date with the latest rule base from the firewalls ?
It is a R80.30 Gaia platform with 5200 firewalls.
Smart Console is on an esxi host 6.5 VM

No, you would need a working backup of the SMS. You have to redo all documented rulebase changes since backup. Also see here: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/Management/View-rulebase-when-only-CLI-available/m-p/108933

The Check Point TAC has a tool that can extract an installed policy from a live gateway and import it back into a SMS that has lost its configuration. But be warned that not everything can be recovered in this fashion so if there is any way you can recreate the changes in the SMS made since your restored backup was taken, that would be ideal.

Can't remember, but TAC will know exactly what you are talking about and must run the tool themselves. It is not generally available as far as I know.
