Issues Restoring Gaia Backup in R80.10 JHF 70, 79, 85, 91

If a backup is taken in the following situations:

• R80.10 with Jumbo Hotfix 70, 79, 85, or 91
• Gaia Portal > Maintenance > System Backup or CLISH backup/restore commands

Incorrect data and rules will be restored.

The issue is fixed in R80.10 JHF 103 or above (JHF 103 is now GA).

Note: A new backup has to be created after installing the fix for it to contain the correct information.

Hi Daemon, the migrate export functionality is not concerned by this bug, right ?

The SK only mentions the backup process in Gaia OS.

The migration tools should be unaffected by this issue.

In case anyone doesnt want to go to Jumbo 103 (as it is ongoing and not yet GA) it is possible to get a ported fix for the earlier jumbos.

we have just had one made for jumbo 70, and will will look to go to the next GA jumbo that has this fix.

we have also been advised to run a migrate export.

presumably, from what i have read and been told, take a backup before installing the hotfix.... : ) not convinced that is time well spent.

migrate export & show config are the steps i have taken, just in case.
