Input data from a .csv file

In earlier builds I used this string to add objects via csv file:

mgmt_cli add host -pf add-hosts.csv

Has the syntax changed or is it no longer supported?

Thanks!

Hi William,

We still have this option, we only changed the syntax.

Instead of “--param-file” (or in short “-pf”) we now have “--batch" (or in short “-b” ).

We made this change, along with a few other changes in the syntax, back in December 2014. I guess you were using a very early copy of R80...

Hello,

I exported the objects from our r77.30 management using the Web Visualization Tool (sk64501) for Windows OS (R77.X) and saved it as a .csv.

1) Can the method above be used to import that .csv into r80.10?

2) Does the .csv need to be formatted in any way?

3) If I remove a (or multiple) tabs from the .csv will that cause problems?  We don't necessarily need the data in all tabs.

4) Will doing this affect the existing objects that already exist in r80.10 in any way?

Many thanks!
