IPS update running since four days

Hello Community, 

I'm not a Checkpoint expert, just a basic customer. So, I need your experience and widsom 😉

My 3200 appliance, managed by the smartconsole 80.20 have an IPS update running since four days. As you can see :



Can I cancel this update simply with no risk of crash or lock something ?


When I click on the clear button corresponding to this task, I received the message 'This is an active task. Are you shure to want to clean it permanently'.

In that case, clear mean cancel or only clear ?
