HCP tool to get a report from new MDS server (R81.20) in production

Hi all

I've finished a migration project to move MDS (primary/secondary)  3050 servers to a new 6000L appliances. In order to finish the project and to deliver documentation to customer,  I would like to get a status report from new MDS servers.  Is HCP the best tool to do it? Can you advise a better Checkpoint tool?

Yes, but please note that CPM Doctor is an internal tool to be used by TAC and R&D.

If you want to use CPM Doctor and receive the latest version please contact TAC.

HCP is an excellent option but many of the current tests are more oriented towards a Security Gateway.

So in addition to HCP consider adding specific command outputs:

  • mdsstat
  • cpstat <blade>

 

Consider also generating CPinfo and using some of the outputs:

ok, thanks. Last question , I would like to get  the status of database , inconsistencies , duplicated objetcs etc... CPM_DOCTOR could be the tool to do it?
