Hi,
just tried to do a global domain assignment to a new domain(CMA)
Following error appeared:
Global Domain Assignment Failed: xx Blocking validation errors were found
More than 1 object 'server1.example.com' exists
More than 1 object 'server2.example.net' exists
Looking into the 'local domain policy' shows that really multiple entries exists with the same name.
Something like this:
server1.dummyexample.com IP: 10.67.13.12
server1.dummyexample.com IP: 10.67.13.77
server2.dummyexample.net. IP: 10.17.19.12
server2.dummyexample.net. IP: 10.17.19.201
1. I was under impression that the name of an host object must be unique.
Isn't this the case (anymore)?
2. Why does the Global Assignment task recognize that there is an issue with an local policy
and the verifier of local policy does not?
Renaming of the local object names did the trick. However, It looks a litte bit strange to me.
