Frequent Management failure (R80.10) / Unstable
Hey Techies,
I am running R80.10 management server from more than 7 months now and three times it got crash with different - 2 reasons. with all the three case we have raised ticket with checkpoint team but there was no RCA. Has anyone come across such issue.
1) Database got crashed.
2) Mutex error, /tmp folder not accessible
3) certificate error, service not booting etc. (this time they said HDD is corrupted)
Any help is appreciated. I want to stop the re-occurrence of this incident.

There is not a lot of technical information to go on I'm afraid. But Redding between lines it does seem some sort of disk problem. Have you attempted any disk health checks? It all depends on platform you are running (appliance or open server, VM or physical server)

Every time it is different server. Earlier twice it was virtual this time it's physical server. Also now we got an update that filesystem is corrupted not the HDD and by maintenance mode they can try to fix it.. I am remotely managing the server do not have any physical access. Is there any alternative to fix this? I am not happy, the way I am getting answers from tac. There's no RCA done in for this cases.. this time also they are going in a direction towards formating..

You're not giving us a ton of information to work with.
Can you tell us what the management server is running on?
If a VM, amount of RAM and Cores allocated and which Hypervisor,
If appliance, what Appliance with ram/disk configuration.
Patch level is also helpful (cpinfo -y all).
Also talk a bit about the environment you're managing from this R80.10 instance (e.g number of gateways, type/size of gateways, etc).

Hello Abraham,
If possible I'd like to get a clearer picture of the current state of things.
I'd appreciate it if you could contact me privately (edited)
