Do you have SNMP enabled through GAIA? If not, go into the GAIA WebUI and enable SNMP and configure a Community string.
Then, go to the Other tab in the Properties of this management object and make sure you have SNMP configured there. You can test by putting the correct community strings in and clicking GET to see if the SNMP Location Information pulls back. If it does, go back to the Network Management page and try to perform the Get Topology again.
Hope this helps!!

You cannot retrieve the interfaces on SMS. I think SMS is different from firewall and only secure gateways can define topology. If you need multiple interfaces, you can add manually.

I think unnecessary to configure anti-spoofing and any other options.
I would suggest to configure ip address on interface using WebUI. Then add new interface with same ip by manually on smartconsole.
Just try

Why do you not just edit the interface settings ? DoubleClick on the line, click the Modify... button, click Override and change the Topology to the setting you want !

These settings are only relevant for Security Gateway products, not Security Management.

The error message? In this case, yes.
For Security Gateway objects, we retrieve the information via SIC.
For all other object types (including management), we use SNMP.

The message is pretty much self-explained. Unless you have a GW component running on the machine, you cannot retrieve topology automatically.
May I ask why you need to get topology on a management server in the first place?

Cause I try to get topology I thought that interface required for communication smart console level .
So no need to worry about the interface on the topology for management server.

Topology is only required on objects that enforce a policy (i.e. gateways).
It is not required or necessarily relevant on non-gateway objects.
