Error in Policy creation
HI,
I have got this error when try to create Management policy.
There is only one interface defined for object Firewall. At least one more interface must be configured for this object in order to use the Anti-Spoofing feature.(BR)
Policy verification failed.
Operation ended with errors. |
So, i tried to create a new interface in Gateway, but i got this error while doing so.
Attached is the screenshot. Please tell me what i am doing wrong here?
Regards,
Mohit Y

From the CLI output provided there is an IP subnet conflict between the interfaces.
After this is corrected you need to verify the Gateway topology in Smart Console / Smart Dashboard.
You can then attempt to install the security policy again.

Hey, when i changed the IP Add of interface eth1 to 192.168.30.30/24. It worked. So, it means two interfaces can not be in same IP subnet? Correct!
Can you explain this in layman's language, as i am new to networking.

You can’t have two or more interfaces on the same subnet.
Highly recommend checking out our Check Point for Beginners series.
