Cloudguard management upgrade question

Hey guys,

Apologies if I posted this in the wrong area, its related to CP management in Azure. Anyway, I made another post about it, related to an issue I worked with the customer for their R81.20 Azure cp management server. Luckily, we were able to build brand new one using same settings as old one and restore working gaia backup, which we are aware is not supported, but hey, it did work.

Now, here is the issue. Image used in Azure marketplace for R81.20 mgmt has jumbo 24 built in, BUT, problem is, once we checked, we cant install any new jumbo and on top of that, does not even give an option anywhere for R82 upgrade. When, for example, trying to upgrade to jumbo 65, gives below error:

Check_Point_R81_20_JUMBO_HF_MAIN_Bundle_T65_FULL.tgz
Installation is not allowed.

Reason:
The backup file /opt/CPda/backup/CheckPoint#CPUpdates#All#6.0#5#4#BUNDLE_R81_20_JUMBO_HF_MAIN#24/LastTake/vsec_backup_HOTFIX_R81_20_JUMBO_HF_MAIN.tgz doesn't exist
Contact Check Point Technical Services for further assistance.

So, I have 2 questions:

1) Any way jumbo 120 can be somehow installed on this machine?

and

2) If no to 1, then is it possible to "stand up" new R82 mgmt, using same settings and then run migrate server import from working migrate server export in R81.20?

Thoughts?

Tx as always!

Best,
Andy

Well, this explans it. Customer just called me, since they went to OTAC today for some training and asked this exact thing and were told this is not possible in cloud, to upgrade from R81.20 to R82, so new machine needs to be created on R82 and use migrate import to copy the config.

Best,
Andy
