Checkpoint Log Exporter
Hi,
Question around the use of the Log Exporter:
We have an environment where the SmartCentre server is used as the logging server. Can the Log Exporter be installed on the Smart Centre server or can it only specifically be setup on a SmartLog Server?
Thanks
Paul Norman

You use Log Exporter where the logs are.
If that’s your SMS, then that’s where you run it.
If you’re using a dedicated log server, you run it there.

Hi,
Log Exporter feature can be run on every Log Server but Check Point GWs.
In addition to the security logs, SmartCenter server contains audit logs as well.
When configuring Log Exporter, you can define what type of logs should be exported.
You can get the full details here: sk122323
