Check Point Endpoint Security Container Licenses

Team,

Let me preface this by saying I'm completely self taught on all Check Point Products.

I'm utilizing Check Point's Endpoint Security in a (Virtual) on premise server. Currently Running R80.40 Version and have installed the recent JHF Take 87 for R80.40.

Two weeks ago the hardware that the Endpoint Security Server was housed virtually in, failed catastrophically. No big deal, I've got other server hardware that I can spin up a backup onto and I've been saving Endpoint Security Backups to a DAS unit attached to the Baremetal hardware, or so I thought. Well the failure corrupted the DAS and while I was able to recover most of the information on the DAS, the best I could do for a backup of the Endpoint Server was from the very beginning of 2020.

Long story short, I spooled up the backup, updated back up to R80.40 and am now faced with an issue. The Endpoint Server still registers about 30 old devices that were decommissioned in Feb of 2020. Those old devices are taking up Container Licenses and I'm unsure as to how to clear them from the Server. I am using Active Directory and the AD Scanner scans every 5 minutes. These devices are already located in the Remove Endpoint Container (Group) in our AD and have been since February 2020.

Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated

Thank you,

You have to use SQL commands to achieve that - please open a TAC ticket for the procedure to stay on the safe side 😎! See the details in sk122119: License counter showing incorrect number of seats.
