Application Control & URL Filtering - Security Management Server Update
Is there any advantage or disadvantage of enabling Application Control & URL Filtering updates on the management server?

This is usually enabled by default, refer: Schedule Update (checkpoint.com)
- Do all your managed Gateways have internet access?
- Do you see new Applications available for use in your security policy?
- Are you subscribed to receive notifications about Application Control updates?

Where the signature updates are needed on the management is when new application signatures are added.
This would allow you to use the newly added application signatures to your access policy.
