Accessories in usercenter - SN

Hi,

usually a SFP / QSFP has a vendor serial number. In usercenter, only certificate keys are visible.

How can they be found in product center | accessories? How can they be identified and mapped?

Historically we didn't track the serial number of accessories in this manner.

Are you trying to identify misplaced units / determine their type or something else?

Note in R81.20 we introduced new commands as follows:

show interfaces xcvr

show interface <Name of Interface> xcvr

show interfaces xcvr_detail

show interface <Name of Interface> xcvr_detail

hi,

simply cleaning up the usercenter showing up a lot (>50) of SFP which appear as "available to attach" .

Do you have a mix of SFP types in use?

If they are all SR for arguments sake you could just attach the relevant quantities to each appliance based on the datasheet specification for that model.

Otherwise you could use commands like you have above to confirm if the slots have SFPs populated or not (for quantities), that's about as close as you will come.

yes mix of types, ~20 years history, >20 usercenters.

But, if there is no reference at all. no problem.

Understand the challenge, atleast with R81.20 moving forward you can identify the type more  easily.
