SSM BRIDGE IN CHASSIS 41K

 Hello,

 

 I need know if you can configure bridge between 2 SSMs within the same chassis

Not sure why you would need to do this.
Can you explain what you are trying to accomplish in more detail and why?

Yes, it is possible to have a bridge, or VS in bridge mode where it's two interfaces are traversing through port in SSM1 and SSM2

That's an interesting question.

Is it better to use the same SSM with two ports or two different SSMˋs.

Are there performance differences here?

No gain or loss by using 2 interfaces where 1 on each SSM or 2 on the same one, however a good use case is to have a cross SSM bond (bond where each slave resides in different SSM) and configure the bridge with VLANs on each side, this way if 1 SSM fails the other one will act as backup.

Its also possible to have 2 cross SSM bonds (one on each side) and accomplish this.
