Maestro sync ports 4x10G on MHO-175 ?

Hello CheckMates,

because of limitations in the cabling we want to use 4x 10G breakout cable (splitting the sync port in 4x10G) for the sync connection between two MHO-175.

Does this work, is it supported?

Wolfgang

It's neither recommended nor a best practice.

@Danny

"MHO-175 Splitting Options"

"It is possible to split each of the QSFP28 ports 1 to 32 (colored green) into four SFP28 ports."

That's why I'm asking.

Hi Wolfgang,

I surely know that by splitting a port with the odd port label in an MHO140 that the respective ports with the even port labels will be disabled. How does the MHO175 behave? Can you still use the lower ports after having split up the upper ports?

Thanks a lot for your response.

Cheers,
Yasushi

@Yasushi_Kono1 MHO-175 is the only one supporting split without disabling the odd ports. Limitations described in the link shown by @Chris_Atkinson for the MHO-140 and MHO-170.

This is awesome! I was wondering on how to attach 52 appliances without decreasing much the amount of uplink ports in MHO140.
