Maestro VSX - Configure same vlan id on different bond / VS

Hello, in a Maestro enviroment with VSX, we need to configure one bond dedicated to VS 1 (bond 1) and one bond dedicated to VS 2 (bond 2). The two bond will be connected to different network switch and these switches use the same vlan id linked to different networks.

Therefore, the follow configuration:

- VS 1 bond1.100 192.168.100.1/24

- VS 2 bond2.100 192.168.101.1/24

is fully supported with Maestro and VSX?

Thanks

if you need to use the same VLAN over different VS then, create a virtual switch.

virtual switch can be leaded to "n" vs's

Hello, in our case we can't use virtual switch feature because the vlans use the same id but are linked to different networks. Thanks

if they are different segment maybe you can set one interface as access port in switch and other as vlan tag.

other solution is use a different VRF.

you can use the same VLAN on different VRF

Hello, in our case the VRF feature will be executed with CP VS.

On network switch side VRF isn't useful because we heve two different and indipendendt switches.

In our case work with access ports aren't possible because the vlan in overlapping are tens.

VLAN IDs are only locally significant on an interface. I know of no reason this wouldn't work.

If they are different VLANs but with overlapping tags, this will work fine.
