Maestro Management Port and SFP Transceiver Module Compatibility
Hi All,
I want to ask 2 questions related with ports of Maestro:
- From Check Point Maestro R80.20SP Getting Started Guide document (on page 30), ports 1-4 of MHO-140 are intended for Management purposes. My question here, are those ports also capable of 1/10G like the rest of Uplink and Downlink ports?
- Are the 48 x 10G ports of MHO-140 compatible with the following SFP transceiver modules:
- CPAC-TR-10SR-B
- CPAC-TR-10SR-C
- CPAC-TR-1T-B
- CPAC-TR-1T-C
- My question in this point is because if you look closely in the description of those SKUs, there is "compatible with XXX only" statment (for example CPAC-TR-10SR-C SFP+ transceiver for 10G fiber Ports - short range (10GBase-SR) compatible with CPAC-4-10F-C only)
Thanks.
Cheers,
Yedi

Hi,
1. Yes, ports 1-4 on MHO-140 are compatible with 1Gbps or 10Gbps transceivers
2. Please look sk92755. In this SK you have exact transceiver types you can use with any of MHOs

Dear Gustavo,
It's possible. For a full list of supported transceivers see sk92755.
Thanks

Hi.
Is it possible to use other MHO interfaces with 1Gbps copper transceivers, or only interfaces 1-4?
We have a customer who needs to make some uplinks at 1Gbps RJ-45.
Thanks.

Great, I had already seen this SK and I saw that the CPAC-TR-1T-B transceivers and CPAC-TR-1T-C are 1Gbps RJ-45 and supported on MHO140, I was wondering if they would be supported only on interfaces 1-4 for management or if they can also be used on uplink interfaces 5-48.
Thank you.

1Gbps cannot be used in port 48, as it's predefined as sync. Sync is 10G only

So I can use interfaces 1-47 at 1Gbps, correct?
