Hi Experts,
We tend to forget that critical infrastructure is an easy target for cyber attacks.
As part of the Ukrainian - Russian conflict, we saw that the Russians hit multiple times the Ukrainian critical infrastructure facilities including the power grid.
Recently the IT army of Ukraine published that they managed to attack St. Petersburg region power grid and left it without electricity. In response the Cyber Army of Russia published on twitter that the attack was false and the grid was not disturbed.
As we don't have any official update from the Russian government, it is hard to know what actually happened. there is one questions we all should ask ourselves, when these attacks will leak out of the current conflict and the technologies would be used out in the wild?
