VXS Concurrent Connections Limit

Dear Forum,

We have Concurrent Connections Limit set to 400.000 and we would like to set it to 600.000. But because we have 4 - Virtual System Instances, so the Software wants to match the configuration so it can "cover" the 600.000 connections would the Virtual System need to be configured to 6?

100.000 concurrent connection per Virtual System Instance is that correct?

If we configured it to 600.000 how long is the system down after the configuration change?

Thanks for your help!

There is no hard link between CXL/VS and Connection Limit configuration, you can just just change the connection limit and push policy, no impact to traffic.

I wouldn't agree with you:

Or at least the dashboard woulnd't agree with you... I don't think that there is no impact when changing the configuration...

That's not about the concurrent connections, that's saying that SmartConsole has lost track of how many CXL/VS are configured on the actual VS. If it lines up (you can check with 'fw ctl multik stat' from the VS context on the gateway) then you should be safe to just click 'OK' and not have any impact to connections. Worst case, assuming this is VSLS cluster, there will be a VS failover/fail back. If you are uncomfortable with this, or if it's in a highly sensitive environment, best to do it in a maintenance window.
