Question - How are "On-Going" Takes - releases?  I was always told that on going are "works in progress and subject to change.

I understand there has to be fixes for some people to test but the long running "on - going " take doesn't seem like it should be taken as a formal release.

This announcement is just saying we are working on a jumbo fix.

Color me confused.  I want what is in the take but was told not to use before GA.

Well the thing with on-going takes is that when you run into a problem that is resolved by a fix that is in that on-going take you are offered that on-going take to resolve the problems you may have.
For me this one would certainly be worth the risk:
Multi-Domain Server processes must be down when running cma_migrate.

Ongoing take is indeed still in progress (more or less 90% QA) , but yet in a good quality.
We are releasing it to the field for approximately 3 weeks as ongoing to gain more confidence and hear feedback from customers & SEs.
In most cases, the same take will be released as GA, However if we will find critical issues in QA/field, we will need to remove the take and release another one instead.
Just to share some statistics:
R80.10 Jumbo - since Nov. we released 7 takes , 3 of them were replaced before moving to GA.
R80.20 Jumbo - since Nov. we released 9 takes, 3 of them were replaced before moving to GA
Thanks
