Check Point Upgrade Service Engine (CPUSE) - Gaia Deployment Agent

Hi,

Having a bit of an issue trying to update the Deployment Agent

Getting odd message about downloads for one, even though connectivity is fine

When I click on the New Deployment Agent - Update Now, it jsut sits there for about 20 mins then times out

Tried rebooting etc - no joy

Please see attached picture

Any thoughts

Hello

first of all, did you check license on your appliance? Is still valid? If not you could try to use an evaluation license.

If needed, you can also manually upgrade the deployment agent by downloading it directly from the UserCenter and uploading directy on the GAIA page.

Which CRL Take are you on for Jumbo 60? Take 11 would be the latest.

Cant do any updates - insists on DA update first

it was in a bootstrap loop  - could not deploy new agent - could not remove agent - had snapshot, so reverted and all fixed - new DA installed - thanks for the help everyone

It is likely due to a Certificate CRL issue. (sk184766 - Certificate and CRL validation fails from March 1, 2026).

Hi, it was bootstap issue, rolled back and it was fine

Oh, did you not go through the Gaia First Time Configuration wizard?  That's a required item before the Deployment Agent will be able to do its work.  The real issue is that the gateway (assuming appliance) hasn't fetched its license info from UserCenter yet.  Until that happens, the gateway has no valid license (and the 15-day eval does not apply here), thus Deployment Agent can't check itself for validity.

Of course, this is also now contingent on having the CRL hotfix applied first before any of the above can happen.

Hi,

Have seen this issue at one of our customers. Reporting a new Deployment Agent is ready to download and install, but unable to do so.

The only option is to manually upgrade the Deployment Agent.
