R82.10 ISO download issue

I'm trying to test with virtual SMS on VMware.

I've downloaded the latest ISO image "Check_Point_R82.10_T467.iso" but it refuses to boot when attached to a new VM. Switched to a slightly older one "Check_Point_R82.10_T464.iso" and that boots fine!

I'm thinking the image is corrupt and having downloaded it 3 times on different machines, I don't think it's me!

Has anyone else had any problems with this?

I finally traced the issue to a corruption of the iso during the upload process to the VM datastore!
The hash of the file I uploaded was fine, but when I downloaded it again to check it, the hash was different! (never had anything like this happen before!)
I have now deleted it and re-uploaded it, and the vm now boots into the installer as expected.

I cannot comment, but since you mentioned image corruption, did you validate the hash matches?

  • SHA256 - df66d4453a1922babc561f87bae2f08bb0a799a1660c21024e6338bf4d844bbe This ISO?

Powershell cmd: Get-FileHash <file> -Algorithm SHA256

Hi,

Your "This IOS" line goes to the CPUSE download not the ISO, so the hash you show does not match the one I get with the .iso file!

Definitely seems like could be the image...did you verify with TAC?

Hello  @StevePearson

This was already tested, but we are currently verifying it again.

Please make sure your ISO has the correct SHA256:
37569f4609b0ba1b62eded60a7f7a3a0d78a0008f7551a5c140cd6bb38a49e81

Also, please send me a direct email so we can check this together in your environment:
henhe@checkpoint.com

Thank you!
