[MANAGEMENT] - High Consumption

Hi everyone,

I'm having an environment where I'm seeing high memory and CPU consumption in the Java / cpsead / log_exporter and log_indexer processes.

I believe this behavior is normal due to the logs being indexed, but I'd appreciate your help in determining if I'm mistaken. I'm also raising this issue because this high resource consumption has been occurring for 4 days.

What solutions can I apply? I haven't restarted this management system yet, but I don't think that will solve the proble

The management system is running version R81.10 take 181.

I'll attach evidence of the processes using the 'top -c' command.

Hi,

Can you tell us a little bit more about your system.

Number of CPU's
Memory
Management only or is SmartEvent enabled also
How many managed gateways

Can you check log rate / index rate with cpview? Has something changed in the last couple of days. Look at the history of cpview.

Just mentioning R81.10 is out of support since March, so the advice is to upgrade.

Check /var/log/dump or run hcp -r all to see if there are any issues:

PRJ-60373,

PRHF-38836

Security Management

VMcore crashes may occur with core dumps of the LOG_INDEXER, LOG_EXPORTER, and JAVA processes on the Security Management Server, causing high CPU utilization.
