R82 viewing Syslog on SMS

Hey CheckMates,

Recently enabled this feature from Gaia running R82.

It seems like this could be beneficial for troubleshooting; however, there does not seem to be a good way to view these logs within the SMS once it is enabled. I cycled through a good number of the predefined profiles and did some searching and could not find a good way to view these logs, so it kind of puts a damper on things. Has anyone found a good way to actually see these messages without having to open every single one?

It's an older feature discussed in sk102995 also used it many moons ago in a smaller environment to ingest Cisco ASA logs into an SMS (back when we only had SmartView Tracker)...

A dedicated syslog server other than the SMS is typically recommended however.

Fortunately, we do already send the Gaia logs to a dedicated third-party syslog and alert off those. I just thought it would be nice to have them in the SMS for easier correlation of events, but based on how they are displayed, I seem to be in the minority. 😅
