Quantum Spark – Change Management IP from ISP1 to ISP2

Hi Mates,

We have a Quantum Spark Appliance at the ABC location with two ILL connections: Airtel and BSNL. The Management Server is located behind the Quantum Enterprise Appliance at the XYZ location.

Currently, the Quantum Spark is connected to the Management Server using the Airtel IP. Since the Airtel ISP connection has now been removed, SIC connectivity is broken.

We would like to change the Management IP to the BSNL IP and re-establish SIC connectivity with the Management Server.

The process I am planning is as follows:

In SmartConsole, open the Quantum Spark Gateway object and change the Gateway IP from the Airtel IP to the BSNL IP under General Properties.

Reset SIC on the Gateway object.

Reboot the Quantum Spark Appliance and establish SIC using the new BSNL IP.

Once SIC is successfully established, install the policy.

Please let me know if this approach is correct or if any additional steps or precautions need to be considered before proceeding.

Regards,

Saranya

You do not need to reset SIC here,
You do have to change the gateway IP as described and push policy, which may fail to reach the gateway.
When the gateway reboots, it should pull the latest policy from the management server (assuming the management IP hasn't changed).
