How many Virtual Network Adapters does it take to connect to a VPN?

On at least one endpoint the Endpoint Protection Remote Access VPN Blade seems to have created too many virtual network adapters. When connecting to a VPN only the last one ('Ethernet 24') above is used.

Everything works, there are no issues connecting to VPN. However, we are not able to remove the other 20+ virtual adapters that aren't being used.

Curious had that PC been used to connect to many different sites?
Only reason I can think of why there are so many but even then, this doesn't seem right.
Might be worth a TAC case to investigate why.

PC has only ever connected to one VPN site, not sure if they were all created at the same time. Its only ever connected to VPN site from within the LAN, not sure if that makes a difference. Doesn't seem right but still works ok.
