What's going to happen with CCVS and CCMS?

Hi,

I saw that the courses for CCVS and CCMS will be retired on June 30. I assume that this means that the exams will also be retired. There is no information about any plans for R82.

Does anyone know what will happen to these?

Exams usually only get retired months after course go end of life/end of sale.

We have to keep an eye on the Pearson VUE and Check Point site to get details.

I personally think there may be a gap in the retirement of those courses and the release of a new version (R82 or R82.x)

The reality is that they are not the most popular courses and don't get priority like the CCSA, CCSE, CCTA and CCTE and a few others.

Contact your ATC with your requirements or specify questions to get the latest updates and news.

it's interesting to me that the CCMS and CCVS exams have not been declared obsolete and are still available for taking 🙂

I just wrapped up my last CCVS class.

The students only got the books shortly before the course (this week or last week) and will need time to prepare for the exam and then go and sit the exam. Three months in this case.

It would not be fair for students attending the class in the last few day or weeks to see the exam go EOL on the same day as the course availability.

I can confirm that Check Point have set anEOL/EOS (End of Life/End of Sale) date of 30th June 2026 for the courses (CCMS and CCVS).

The exams are officially available until 30th September 2026. After that the exams are EOL and will not be available on Pearson.

I just logged in and checked (https://pearsonvue.com/checkpoint) and the exam cannot be booked after 1st October 2026 (interestingly).

It appears that there has sadly not been enough demand for the two courses.

Sad to see them go but if there is enough feedback from customers (and a demand for the attending training) then I am sure Check Point will be interested to hear about it.

Both courses were/are based on R81.10 and were/are available after the EOS date of R81.10.

That was OK because the core technology has not changed.

I did attend a CCMS course last year and was holding out on CCVS for an updated version including VSNext, because I know enough VSX to not need an official training. I would be sad if this plan would not work out for me.
