Hello,
I need some help
I'm in a situation where I can't download a file from OneDrive because of Harmony. it simply does not give an error of excessive size for verification nor does it allow it to be downloaded.
The zip is about 1GB
Can you help?
You have to ask your admin for help !
Which version of Endpoint client is used, has the admin attempted any exceptions or other corrective action?
Is the issue consistent regardless of browser choice or is it not a web based transfer?
Hi,
Version: E88.60
No exception was created.
But there is no other way to turn things around.
It's just that all the large files I download always get hung up by Harmony.
Please open a case with TAC so they can help to investigate the issue further.
Hello,
if you are sure about the file - you can use in your browser "incognito mode"
Okay, it works.
But why do I have to do this?
Why doesn't it work in normal mode?
Tool limit to emulate file size "Maximum file size is 100MB. Increasing the file size increases the client processing and network traffic required to process any larger files."
@rsantos1: Incognito mode - I can't answer your question because I'm even like you a normal user. The reason why I suggested "incognito mode" is that I had a similar problem last year. Downloading bankaccounts (=pdf files) in some cases it worked in other cases it didn't work. After a lot of interventions with support (with no results) I gave up and started using the bypass (incognito mode)
@lluner: I don't think it is a file-size issue. Because i had issues with files less then 1MB
Is it possible for the file to start downloading, issue a warning indicating that the file exceeded the maximum inspection size, and ask if we want to download it anyway?
In what situations can this happen?
Yes, because this is my experience downloading large files with Harmony Endpoint.
I believe this can be disabled by an admin, though, which may be what is happening on your case.
I would create an exclusion for now, on the same line I would open a TAC
Generally speaking, if file size exceed your should see a notification in the browser extension pop up.
It might be that the policy is set to fail-close, where downloading files that exceeded the limit of file size it block.
If not, I would advise opening a ticket to TAC to get it checked.
