Is it possible to export a backup from AWS standalone R77.30 as R80.40 ?
Hi Guys,
Is it possible to export a backup from AWS standalone R77.30 instance as R80.40? The target is to move the system to R81.10. So R80.40 is the intermediate version. I contacted TAC and they also do not provide the correct wording regarding this. I really appreciate it if anyone could let me know if you have done it.
Regards,
Udana

The procedure in the Upgrade/Install guide for R80.40 should apply.

Hi @emmap ,
Thank you for the information. May I know whether it is possible to perform a migrate export on the AWS R77.30 version to R80.40 using migration tools and import that on a VM instance? As well as take a migrate export backup from that VM as R81.10 and import it on a new R81.10 AWS instance?
Regards,

Yes, that's exactly how you do it, specifically with the R80.40 migration tools that you will need to copy to the R77.30 instance.
Then you can use the newer migration tools (migrate_server) to migrate to your R81.10 instance.
