Today’s enterprises demand cloud network security that is powerful yet easy to deploy, operate, and scale. Security teams need to deliver high-performance protection without the burden of managing firewalls at scale. This shift has pushed the industry toward managed network security solutions that reduce operational burden while improving consistency, visibility, and prevention across complex multi-cloud environments. Responding to that demand, Check Point is continuing its open garden strategy with the introduction of Cloud Firewall as a Service on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and on Microsoft Azure, with plans for Google Cloud and others.
Cloud Firewall as a Service eliminates the complex overhead of managing firewall software infrastructure, giving busy DevOps and Security teams time to focus on policy management, compliance, and other strategic initiatives.
Cloud Firewall as a Service marks a major milestone in Check Point’s cloud vision. It delivers the power of Cloud Firewall (formerly Guard Network Security) with advanced threat prevention, AI-driven security intelligence, automated policy enforcement, and unified visibility without requiring customers to deploy or maintain the underlying security gateway infrastructure themselves. This is done by Check Point security experts.
Paul Barbosa, VP of Cloud Security at Check Point, describes this direction as a natural extension of the company’s philosophy:
“This evolution reinforces Check Point’s belief that customers and partners do not have to choose between world class security efficacy or ease of deployment and ongoing operations. Check Point hybrid mesh firewalls offer unified network visibility, and no compromise AI threat prevention with ease of deployment, automation, and scalability with major cloud vendors.”
He further notes that security is now following the same trajectory as cloud infrastructure itself:
“Security is moving to as-a-service models just like infrastructure. The Check Point open garden approach extends naturally to Cloud Firewall as a Service deployment. It allows organizations to enjoy the best cloud security with highly optimized firewall infrastructure provided by Check Point.”
Today it’s more challenging than ever navigating complex cloud environments resulting in costly deployment and time-consuming management of firewall infrastructure. Plus cloud firewalls are increasingly important as organizations rely on cloud network firewalls and WAF to secure their GenAI applications. So the need for predictable, scalable, and consistently applied cloud security has never been greater or more challenging to deliver. Cloud Firewall as a Service helps customers maintain compliance, reduce manual effort, and strengthen their overall security posture without deep cloud network expertise.
Cloud Firewall as a Service addresses these pressures by providing firewall software infrastructure management and optimization by Check Point. For security and budget-minded organizations, Cloud Firewall as a Service delivers peace of mind by offloading the complexity and expertise of cloud firewall operations like deployment, configuration, ongoing software updates, and other firewall specific maintenance tasks. This provides peace of mind, enhances security posture, and reduces the need for cloud security expertise.
Check Point’s open garden strategy is to partner with leading technology partners so organizations experience the same high standard of protection no matter where they run their mission critical workloads and applications.
Check Point has extensive integrations and capabilities with cloud vendors that enable robust network security within virtualized environments, with deep native service support and automation. Key integrated Cloud Firewall as a Service capabilities include the following:
Cloud Firewall as a Service integrates directly with a broad set of cloud vendor services to extend advanced security controls and operational visibility within public cloud environments. Deep software integration with cloud vendor virtual environments and load balancers enable inline security insertion and scalable traffic inspection. Transit networks and network service insertion supports centralized traffic routing and deep packet inspection by the AI-powered Cloud Firewall as a Service.
Cloud software repositories and automation tooling (e.g., GitHub, Terraform, Ansible) support rapid provisioning, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and CI/CD integration.
Highly available architecture ensures Cloud Firewall as a Service gateways and firewalls are available and can scale with workload demand across global regions or zones.
Dynamic policies adapt using cloud-native vendor metadata and tags to secure dynamic networks without costly manual updates.
Cloud Firewall as a Service enforces multi-layer network security (firewall, IPS, application control, Anti-Virus/Anti-Bot) across cloud vendor traffic flows (egress and east-west intra-VPC/VNet). It delivers the highest firewall protection with 99.9% threat prevention according to Miercom* tests and 100% security effectiveness according to Cyberratings**.
SSL/TLS inspection (HTTPSi) for encrypted cloud traffic, including SNI support.
Check Point unifies policy and security management across on-premises, private, and public cloud networks. Check Point Security Management or Smart-1 Cloud, delivers consistent, hybrid mesh firewall capabilities via a single pane of glass.
Consolidates logs, reporting, and compliance views across hybrid infrastructure, on premises, private, and public cloud networks.
Native integration with cloud vendor control planes improves operational visibility, simplifies deployment workflows, and enables teams to leverage cloud infrastructure monitoring and logging frameworks as part of security operations.
Helps ensure continuous adherence to security standards such as PCI DSS, SOX, and GDPR through advanced threat prevention.
Eliminate hours of manual firewall infrastructure maintenance and need for deep cloud network architecture knowledge.
Check Point is responsible for supporting and optimizing your cloud gateway and firewall infrastructure with 99.99% availability.
Reduce operational risk and costs by leveraging expert-maintained cloud-native firewall infrastructure.
Cloud Firewall as a Service delivers cloud-native enforcement and threat prevention, deep integration with key cloud networking and security services, automation and IaC support, centralized management, and scalable high-availability deployment patterns tailored to leading public cloud environments.

Due to unforseen techical issues, the original version of the post had some broken URLs. If you are still experiencing any issues, please reach out to me via PM.
Thanks, all, for your understanding
All the links here do work.
Thanks Val!
Perhaps add the broken AWS and Azure Marketplace links back when they are resolved...
I believe there was only 1 link that did not work, but that appears to be MS related, nothing to do with CP.
Thanks to @_Val_ , @the_rock , and @jmaresky4real for the help and feedback.
I just added working Cloud FWaaS AWS and Azure marketplace listing URLs.
Thanks for your patience!
Thanks @skiingmadman
