What's New? Product News | January 2024
Hi, CloudGuard AppSec community,
Here is the monthly update on the new and exciting releases!
What's new in CloudGuard AppSec this month?
- CloudGuard AppSec offering is now available through the “CloudGuard->Application Security” application in Infinity Portal
-
The previous “Horizon->Policy” application is now separated into 3 stand-alone apps: CloudGuard Application Security, Quantum SD-WAN, and Quantum IoT Protect.
-
All the information and license are automatically transferred to the new “Application Security” app, users should only move to the new app through the menu and approve the terms of use at the first entrance for each tenant.
-
Upon first entrance into the new app, the user will have to mark V on the checkbox to accept the terms of use.
-
- A new deployment is now available – A (single) docker deployment using Azure App Services
- When deploying an agent as a docker image, there is now an additional deployment option on top of the existing option to deploy to run CloudGuard AppSec Docker is using Azure App Services.
- This option provides a Managed Docker Environment, Secure Certificate Store, and Scalability.
- To use, browse to Cloud->Profiles and edit a docker profile created to see the new deployment instructions on the right-hand panel.
- For full configuration details, visit our dedicated documentation.
- Rate Limit is now GA with improved configuration options
- Rate limit is supported in all AppSec deployments. AppSec agents can limit the number of requests from a single source identifier to a matched URI within a configured time scope.
- To activate Rate Limit, browse to Cloud->Assets and edit the relevant Web Application, or Web API asset. In the left pane, under the Practices tab, click on "Rate Limit" under the "Access Control" practices.
- It is now also possible to configure a complex logical match condition that involves:
- Regular expression match in URI.
- Regular expression match in the configured source identifier string.
- Source IP address matching.
- Web requests matching the conditions will be counted together and verified their quantity does not exceed a limit when coming from the same source identifier.
- For all configuration details, visit our dedicated documentation.
Best Regards,
The CloudGuard AppSec Team
