Upgrading AWS stand alone from R80.10 to R80.40
Hey mates!
Since R80.10 end of life was announced I´m looking for info and experiences on this environment
Note the following until now:
*The recommended hotfix pre upgrade is at least R80.10 JHF Take 278 according to sk164258
* A fresh install will be needed
Installation and Upgrade Guide R80.40
recommend to use the Pre-Upgrade Verifier
I guess the sk110267 should be used in that point
* The side by side method appears to be the less intrusive sk118717 Still if that sk is for R77.30 to R80.10
In that point, is the stand alone deployment supported again in R80.40?
If yes, definitively use an AWS template will be so useful.
I´m also looking info about the AWS templates creation if you know any learning resource to check about that will be great.
The following image shows the compatibility matrix (extracted from Installation and Upgrade Guide R80.40)
Thanks for share your knowledge in advance.
Best Regards

The main reason R80.20 and R80.30 weren’t supported for standalone in AWS was management and gateway required different images in AWS due to some differences in the Linux kernel.
These have been resolved since R80.40.
