Protect Azure Web Apps deployed in an ILB-ASE with CloudGuard VMSS
Hi CheckMates,
Sharing this step-by-step guide on how to protect Azure Web Apps (App Services) behind an ILB-ASE (App Service Environment) using CloudGuard VMSS deployment. Some of my customers are already using PaaS offering such as Azure App Services, shifting their focus on their code and pushing changes to their container images or their application code without worrying about managing the underlying infrastructure. Protecting those apps remain a challenge they get exposed to the Internet.
PS: It is assumed you already have a functional Check Point CloudGuard VMSS deployment. This setup also works with a CloudGuard High Availability deployment or behind a L7 Azure Application Gateway (to be documented soon)
