Azure SMS deployment increase disk space
In Azure cloud we have a SMS deployed, the instance has over 500GB disk assigned however the log disk size is only 30GB, how can we increase the disk space safely?
Do we need to bootup in maintenance mode for that and follow below articles or is there an easy way?
[Expert@azurecpsms001:0]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vg_splat-lv_current 20G 10G 11G 50% /
/dev/sda1 291M 27M 249M 10% /boot
tmpfs 6.8G 27M 6.8G 1% /dev/shm
/dev/mapper/vg_splat-lv_log 43G 5.1G 38G 12% /var/log
cgroup 6.8G 0 6.8G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup

Starting in version R81 onwards for Azure, you must enter maintenance mode to use the resizing function of lvm_manager

Thanks for sharing just read it see step10 so i guess maintenance mode is required for resizing
10. Use lvm_manager to complete the process. (Note: Starting version R81 onwards using Azure, you will need to enter maintenance mode in order to use the resizing function of lvm_manager, please refer to sk170732 - Maintenance mode for public cloud)
