To Have CCSE
Hi,
I have CCSA R80 valid one for next 3 months. Am I eligible to appear for CCSE R80 ? if not what is the alternative option to CCSA R80.
what is the validity of CCSE same 2years as of CCSA ?
Read that anybody can write CCSE R80 without having CCSA R80, is that correct?
thanks in advance.

Having a valid CCSA is required to take the CCSE. So you should be good to sit the CCSE exam if your CCSA is still valid.
CCSE is valid for 2 years. It can be extended one time for 1 year by completing an infinity specialist accreditation. Completing 2 infinity specialist accreditations on top of CCSE gives you the CCSM.
More info can be found here.

Strange - in the link you posted in the last line i read:
- You are still eligible to take the CCSE to advance in the certification path if your CCSA is expired.

@G_W_Albrecht Good catch!
I was going to mention Tug to clarify but looks like he already did here.
So apparently you can sit R80 CCSE with expired R80 CCSA.

This is correct. Having a valid CCSA is NOT required to take the CCSE.

Expired CCSA/R80 can write either CCSE/R80 or CCSE/ R81.Please comment
I see that CCSE /R80 is going remove from exams shortly.

Per the certification FAQ
- I just passed my exams. When can I expect to receive my certificate?
- Check Point provides e-certificates that you can access from your User Center profile. Once we receive your exam results we will update your User Center account with your new credentials, giving you access to your online benefits like access to SecureKnowledge and your online Certification profile. The User Center will be added within 3 weeks of your exam date, but often it is sooner than that.

Hi Chris,
Actulay it is pretty new 🙂 I certified for one month before(CCSA R80). I am eager to continue with CCSE but as i said i could not find any info if i will be eligible to sit CCSE R81 with valid CCSA R80 certificate.
As i understand from diagram that you put above, I can sit the CCSE R81 with my CCSA R80.
If I am not right, please correct me
Regards
