Vsec Gateway with Management Server

I have a R80.30 CP Gateway on AWS Cloud with defined internal and external interfaces.

I want to add this gateway to a Management Server which is in a different VPC.. connectivity between VPCs is established via transit gateway and are reachable. I want to understand which GW interface should i use to add to Management Server 

External or Internal ? 

When i am adding through Internal Interface .. i get Connection to GW lost after sometime while it works fine with External Interface.. Should External interface always be used to connect with Mgmt Server ?

Some people prefer, logically speaking, to use internal interfaces for Management traffic.
In reality, it doesn't matter that much and you can use either interface for Management traffic.
