Protocol N/A on ips protections means?

Can someone explain what Protocol N/A on ips protections means?

This means Not Available - protection is not tied to a protocol... Same is true of column File Type - only some protection have one shown. This is reasonable and easily understood when looking into what the issue is - e.g., Adobe Acrobat and Reader Heap Overflow protection has both protocol and file type set to N/A.

Most used protocol is http (7426), then N/A (2827).
