Preventing port scans and sweep scans

Our firewall is constantly being scanned from outside attackers.  We get thousands of email alerts that the firewall is detecting a port scan or sweep scan.  Can we automatically prevent the port scans and sweep scans?  The protection in the firewall can only be set to detect mode.  We are looking for options. We have R77.30 Gaia.
