IPS Performance Impact Ratings only apply to R80.30?

The R81.20 Threat Prevention Guide states:

Performance Impact

Some protections require the use of more resources or apply to common types of traffic, which adversely affects the performance of the Security Gateways on which they are activated.

Important - The Performance Impact of protections is rated based on how they affect Security Gateways that run R80.30 version. The Performance Impact on other Security Gateways may be different than the rating listed on the protection.

Can it be assumed this really means R80.30 or later  gateways?  I'm assuming version R80.30 was chosen here due to the overhaul and incremental advancements to SecureXL during the R80.20 release.

I'll forward it to the relevant owner in R&D to see what it should state.

Will update when I receive the answer.

Reply from R&D owner is that it is indeed R80.30 and above.

We will have this changed in the relevant guides.

R80.40 and higher would seem most logical/appropriate for mind...

Based on that guide, I also tend to agree with @Timothy_Hall that it would assume anything R80.30 and higher. Lets see what R&D comes back with.
